The AK500DP has dual ports that allows you to run VGA, Component, S-Video or Composite Video over CAT5 to one monitor and then connect (daisy chain) another AK500DP or a single port AK500 to go to additional monitors. The total distance should be under 500 feet. The AK500DP contains a Cat5 (RJ45) output that enables the unit to be daisy-chained for more cost-effective installations. Resolution specification is QXGA (2048x1536) @ 500 feet (152 meters) @ 70Hz refresh. The AK500 Series uses the same compensation technology as the AK1000/1500 receivers.) New features being introduced by the AK500 include: a) Equalization. EQ - Continuous, knob-turn equalization adjustment replaces the three-position switch. This provides finer granularity in the adjustment and helps optimize the image quality in the 0 to 500-ft. range. b) Skew Compensation - included. 10ns of delay (color skew adjustment) can be set via dipswitch, on each of the three colors.
