These baluns supports component video (YPbPr at 480i and 480p) - this is the typical resolution supported by DVD Players. The picture shows three of the component video cable/baluns connected to a CAT5 cable. It has the same functionality as product 500021 but instead of the RCA plug connected to the balun, it has a short 5 inch cable. The advantage of the short cable is that it provides you additonal flexibility in positioning the balun to your equipment and of allowing you to use the fourth pair of wires on a CAT5 cable to send another signal or power. You can also use this cable/balun to send up to four composite video signals on a single CAT5 cable. You will need six of these baluns (three at each end) to be able to send the component video signal over CAT5.
