| Our EXCLUSIVE S-Video two-to-one adapter (S-Video Y) measures about 18 inches and has S-Video connectors all around. Convert the single S-Video input on the back of your S-Video TV to two (2) S-Video inputs or use the "Y" as a passive splitter. If you need to separate the "Y/C" signals on an s-video cable, click on the "S-Video Y/C Separator" button on the left. Note: you can only send one S-Video signal to your TV at a time - else your TV will have the two signals super-imposed for a few seconds (groovy, man) and then it will not recognize either one until you just send one signal. It has been reported to us that some cable boxes for DishNetwork may still send a signal to your TV even if the cable box is turned off...so you might consider our S-Video Switches. Some customers have used this "Y" adapter to send one S-Video signal to two TVs at the same time. If you use this "Y" adapter as a passive splitter you may or may not get satisactory results. When we used this adapter to send one S-Video signal to two different TVs at the same time one of the TVs got darker - we compensated this by adjusting the brightness. We have used this "Y" adapter to send an S-Video signal from a DVD player to 2 computers with Winnov video capture cards installed on each computer; there was no noticeable signal loss. However, when we sent one of the signals to the capture card and the other to a television, the television sometimes would not recognize the signal. The moral of the story is that if you use this "Y" adapter as a "signal splitter" you may or may not get satisfactory results - so you're own your own when used as a splitter.
