It's no longer necessary to go into the back of your S-Video TV every time you want to use separate S-Video devices. You may also be able to solve a nagging problem with AV Receivers that have a separate bus for the S-Video and Composite Video - those receivers do not allow you to use the composite video if anything is connected to the S-Video signal - you can use the switchbox to connect to the S-Video on the receiver and switch - out of S-Video with the box. If you're using the S-Video out of the receiver you can also use our "S-Video to RCA" adapter to switch the signal to your VCR or non-S-video destinations. There are many applications, for instance you can connect your "WebTV Plus" and your DVD's S-Video out to the Switch Box and then connect the single S-Video jack to the S-Video input of your S-Video capable TV. All you have to do now is just slide the switch on top of the AB Switch to select the S-Video signal that you want to watch. You will notice a significant increase in the picture quality when viewing your Web TV Plus (or other s-video capable devices) through the s-video input of your TV. The reason is due to the fact that s-video delivers the brightness and color information separately, thus reducing the artifacts that are visible when using a coaxial RF antenna or composite video signals. You can see for yourself simply by continuing to have your WebTV Plus connected through the RF coax or composite video input and the s-video input and toggling between them.
