Our S-Video two-to-one adapter (S-Video Y) is now available in 18 inches or 6 feet. The S-Video Y pictured here has a male s-video connector and two female s-video connectors.
If you'd like male s-video cables on all three connectors, see our exclusive S-Video Y "box" below.
Convert the single S-Video input on the back of your S-Video TV to two (2) S-Video inputs. Use our RCA to S-Video adapter and convert your VCR's composite video to s-video.
Note: you can only send one S-Video signal to your TV at a time - else your TV will have the two signals super-imposed for a few seconds (groovy, man) and then it will not recognize either one until you just send one signal. Some cable boxes for DishNetwork may still send a signal to your TV even if the cable box is turned off...so you might consider our S-Video Switch Box that allows you to manually select the S-Video signal to send to your S-Video TV.
Some customers have used this "Y" adapter to send one S-Video signal to their TV and to their graphics card at the same time. However, this was not the purpose of this device since S-Video tends to degrade right-a-way if you use a passive splitter. One of the TVs may get darker and you may not be able to compensate by adjusting the brightness.
Features of our S-Video 2-1 Y:
- One Male S-Video 4-pin mini DIN plug on one end for S-Video input.
- Two Female S-Video 4-pin Mini Din Receptacles (jacks) on the other end for two S-Video outputs. |
