4X2 4K HDMI Matrix Switch with ARC & SPDIF Audio Extraction. This HDMI 2.0 Switcher also features Automatic Downscaling from 4K to 1080P for displays that do not support 4K.

● 4 In 2 Out HDMI Matrix: Distributes any of the four HDMI sources to two displays (output videos can be different or the same), ideal for home theaters, restaurants, sports bars, conferences rooms, shopping malls, etc.

● HDMI 2.0 & HDCP 2.2 Compliant: Supports video resolution up to 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 with HDR 10, Dolby Vision or HLG. Also supports lossless audio formats, like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, offering you amazing audio and video experiences.

● ARC or Audio Extraction, up to You: Built with a DIP switch near the HDMI out port 2 for effortless audio control. You can extract 5.1CH audio to an AV receiver via the SPDIF out port, either from one of the four HDMI sources, or from an ARC-compatible TV connected to the HDMI out port 2.

● Innovative 4K-to-1080P Downscaling: When you connect a 4K video source and 1080P/4K monitors simultaneously to the matrix switcher, it can automatically downscale 4K to 1080P for the 1080P monitor, ensuring optimal video performance.

● 3 Ways to Switch: Control the matrix switch easily via front panel buttons, the included IR remote controller or RS232 command.

● Important Notes: Only HDMI out port 2 supports the ARC function. An audio setting DIP switch is built on the switch to optimize its audio output performance. And all accessories are not sold separately. If you encounter any problem while using the product, please refer to the Troubleshooting FAQ or contact us via sales@svideo.com.

Troubleshooting FAQ
Questions
Answers
1. When I toggle the DIP switch to “De-embed” mode, there is no sound from the S/PDIF output port. What should I do?
  • Check if the corresponding “HDMI Out 2” port is outputting sound. If not, you need to check if there is any sound transmitted from the input source.
  • If there is sound from “HDMI output 2” port, try setting the corresponding input source’s audio format to PCM or DD 5.1.
  • 2. When I toggle the DIP switch to “ARC” mode, there is no sound from the S/PDIF output port. What should I do?
  • Check if you have connected the corresponding “HDMI Out 2” port to the TV via its HDMI ARC port.
  • Check if you have selected an external device as the TV’s speaker.
  • Try setting the TV’s audio format to PCM or DD 5.1.
  • 3. What can I do if there is no sound from my soundbar connected to HDMI output port 2?
  • Check if your soundbar has an extra independent HDMI input port, in addition to the common HDMI ARC port. If it has one, you can try connecting to this independent HDMI input port. If it doesn’t have one, you can connect your TV to the “HDMI Out 2” port first, then connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI ARC port.
  • Please don’t connect the soundbar to the matrix switch directly via HDMI ARC port, as this port can only be connected to a TV.
  • Please note that the matrix switch, through its “HDMI Out 2” port, can only output HDMI (both audio and video) signal to the soundbar, but cannot output HDMI ARC signal to the soundbar.
  • This is how the matrix switch’s HDMI ARC function works: The TV connected to the “HDMI Out 2” port returns audio back to the matrix switch via HDMI ARC, then the audio can be de-emdeded to the S/PDIF output port.
  • 4. What can I do if there is no video output from the two HDMI output ports?
  • Check if the corresponding input source has been switched to the corresponding output port.
  • Try restarting the matrix switch to check if it helps.
  • Check your HDMI cables, or use new cables.
  • Try connecting the source to the display device directly, without using the matrix switch. Then check if there is any video output.
  • 5. What can I do if there is no video output from one of the HDMI output ports?
  • Swap the HDMI cables for the two output ports to check if it helps.
  • Set the input source’s resolution to 1080P.
  • 6. What can I do if there is no audio output from the 3.5mm audio port?
  • Check if the corresponding “HDMI Out 1” port is outputting sound. If not, you need to check if there is any sound transmitted from the input source.
  • If there is sound from “HDMI output 1” port, try setting the corresponding input source’s audio format to “PCM”.
  • 7. What can I do if the IR remote controller is not working?
  • Check if the battery has run out of power.
  • Check if the battery is installed correctly and on the right position.
  • When you use the remote controller, it needs to be directly facing the IR receiving window on the front panel of the matrix switch.
  • Try using a pin to press the “System Code Switch” button on the bottom right corner of the remote controller to modify the IR system code.
  • 8. What can I do if the IR remote controller can’t turn on/off the matrix switch? Please note that the ON/OFF buttons on the remote controller are used to control the on/off of the two connected TVs, instead of the matrix switch itself.
    9. What can I do if RS232 command can’t be sent?
  • Check if the connection method of the RS232 cable between the matrix switch and the control PC/system is correct. It should be “TX-RX, RX-TX, GND-GND”.
  • Try restarting the matrix switch to check if you can receive restarting feedback from the device. In this way, you can check if the RS232 settings are correct.
  • Check if you can add the terminators “CR”and “NL” in the command sender. Ensure you have inputted the correct command.
