Cam-IQ™ 140 is an inline AI module designed for plug-and-play installation with compatible existing video systems. The Cam-IQ™ analyses the camera's signal to detect pedestrians and vehicles that enter a user-defined detection zone and places real-time, color-coded visual and audible alerts to the monitor.
Cam-IQ™ 140 supports compatible standard analog video, including Composite Video (CVBS-480i), and Analog High Definition (AHD) video, including AHD 720p and AHD 1080p. It also provides an alarm-output wire with a 12V high-level warning trigger for compatible external alarm inputs.
In most compatible installations, no camera, monitor, DVR, or existing video-cable replacement is required. Keep the equipment you already own and add local AI detection alerts without replacing the complete camera system.
Cam-IQ™ 140 is available in three connector configurations to match common mobile camera/monitor installations. Each unit includes the cables to connect the camera and monitors. Select the connector type from the drop-down menu before ordering. The default configuration has 4-pin aviation connectors. You can also order it with standard 4-pin mini-DIN connectors or 4-pin threaded Ingress Protection (IP) connectors for Safety Vision cameras
We also offer an optional adapter that breaks out the video, audio and power on the connectors above and allows you to connect to security systems with BNC or RCA connectors. Contact us if you want to add AI to your existing security system.
Cam-IQ™ 140 is a local driver-assistance accessory. It is not a cellular, GPS, telematics, remote-access, cloud, or video-recording system. Contact us if you want a full system upgrade with AI.

How Cam-IQ™ 140 Works
Cam-IQ™ 140 analyzes incoming video from compatible CVBS and AHD cameras in real time using an integrated Neural Processing Unit.
The system identifies pedestrians and vehicles and places visual warning overlays onto the outgoing video image. The processed video can then be displayed on an existing monitor or supplied to a compatible DVR.
For an alarm condition, a 12V high-level warning output is available for connection to a compatible DVR or external alarm input alarm. The connected equipment may respond according to its own alarm-input configuration.
The green wire is a warning trigger output only. It is not intended to power a DVR, alarm, light, camera, or other equipment. Verify alarm-input compatibility and wiring requirements before installation.

DVR and AI-Event Integration
Cam-IQ™ 140 does not send pedestrian, vehicle, BSD, or other structured AI-event information to a DVR. The alarm wire provides only a high-level electrical warning trigger.
A compatible DVR may respond to the alarm input by starting a configured recording, activating an alarm response, or performing another supported action. Available responses depend entirely on the DVR model and its configuration.
Any searchable AI event, pedestrian event, vehicle event, or BSD event created by a DVR is generated by the DVR's own AI functions. It is not generated or transmitted as an AI event by Cam-IQ™ 140.
Cam-IQ™ 140 does not record or store video. When connected to a DVR, all recording and storage functions are performed by the DVR.
