Use professional grade microphones to record with your iPhone or iPad. The iProAudio Balun with a female XLR pigtail allows you to use professional grade microphones with your iPhone or iPad.
It features a 3.5mm TRRS plug that connects to the audio jack on an iPhone or iPad. On the other end of the 18 inch cable is a female XLR. Most professional condenser microphones have a male XLR connector and you can connect this balun directly to the microphone or use an extension cord.
This balun converts the unbalanced 3.5mm plug to a "balanced" female XLR connector. You can connect directly to a microphone with an XLR connector or to a cable with a female XLR connector up to 500 feet.
