USB-C™ Digital AV Multiport Adapter
USB Type-C_ Digital Multiport Adapter. This adapter features a USB Type-C_ plug on one end and on the other end an HDMI, USB Standard-A and USB Type-C_ port. It allows you to connect devices that can output an HDMI signal from the USB Type-C_ port, such as the new Apple MacBook. The USB Type-C_ port on this adapter can be used to connect to a USB Type-C_ cable and then to a USB Type-C_ power supply. In addition the USB Stanard-A receptacle could be used to connect to USB standard devices.
This adapter allows you to mirror your MacBook display to your HDMI-enabled TV or display in up to 1080p at 60Hz or UHD (3840x2160) at 30Hz. It also outputs video content like movies and captured video.
This adapter is not bi-directional and does not allow you "input" an HDMI signal but only to "output" an HDMI signal from devices that support HDMI output through the USB Type-C_ port, like the new Apple MacBook.
