HDMI over Fiber Optic Cable

HDMI over Fiber Optic Cable
How do you send HDMI over long distance?

We offer you three solutions for sending HDMI over Fiber Optic Cables:
  • The Voyager Series (click here) for sending the signal up to 99,000 ft.
  • The HDMI Active Optical Cables to send the signal up to 328 ft., and
  • The HDMI Optical Series for up to 1,000 feet, see below.

  • Consider the HDMI Optical Series when you need a plenum rated cable for air-plenums or in-wall installations. The HDMI Optical Series sends the uncompressed HDMI signal over fiber optic cable up to 1,000 ft. and from 480p to up to 4K resolution.

The HDMI Optical Series sends the signal over fiber optic cable that is enclosed in the "runner" cables that can be installed in-wall or in-conduit.

The HDMI Optical Series consists of Flying Leads and Wall Plates that are connected to the Runner cables. There are two types of Flying Leads, a transmitter and a receiver that can be connected to the runner cables. There are also Transmitter Wall Plates that have a Flying Lead Transmitter that is designed to be mounted with a screw to the wall plate. There are currently many different Transmitter Wall plates that have not only HDMI Optical Transmitters but also VGA and audio connectors for use with the Multi-Port transmitters runners. Contact us if you need a wall plate on the "receiver" end of the installation.

The HDMI Optical Series Runner cables have a special connector on both ends that connects to the Flying leads transmitter and receivers. The HDMI Optical Runner cables are not bi-directional, but the ends are labelled Transmitter or Receiver for proper installation.

      The HDMI Optical Series supports:
    • HDMI (and DVI-D with an adapter)
    • 4096x2160 resolution at 30Hz and 60Hz
    • 3840x2160 resolution at 30Hz and 60Hz
