Advantages: Compact size that can be used when very short distances are required to interconnect your svideo equipment with non-svideo TVs.
Disadvantages: You need to connect a male-to-male video cable with RCA plugs. The additional connection may result in signal loss that could cause the loss of the color signal and/or other video artifacts due to an impedance difference. You just can't use any cable that you just happen to have around - for best results, use a 75 ohm video cable, or better yet, get our original S-Video to RCA adapter that provides you with a "straight-shot" solution.
Free Shipping. Select "Free Air Mail" as your shipping option...the default is Priority that starts at 4.75.
NOTE: The plastic housing may prevent it from fitting properly on some laptops; if you have any doubts, it's best to order our S-Video to RCA, 6ft. cable or our Pro S-Video plus Audio adapter.
This "S-Video to Composite Video" convertor features a male, 4-pin mini DIN connector and a female RCA receptable (jack).
Use this product only with 75 ohm video cable, such as our Video Cables.
This adapter plugs into the S-Video port on the back of your s-video TV, or other s-video source, so you can connect a composite video cable (with RCA plugs) into the adapter's yellow RCA jack.
Note If you need to go from composite video to s-video consider our RCA to S-Video adapters.
For a broadcast quality solution that includes both the audio and video consider our Pro S-Video + Audio adapter.
